HIS MEDIUM, INFLUENCES AND WORKS: Leonard has experimented with various stones, but prefers to work in Alabaster. His sculptures are of a unique nature and deal with moods and expressions in the human face and figure as well as some abstract pieces. His attachment to nature is reflected in his studies of birds. Other pieces show the influence of the Inuit artists he lived amongst in the early 1980’s. His early mentor was famous print maker and sculpture Stanley Lewis who always fostered Leonard’s individual creativity.
